My Story

I started my working career in the horticultural industry in 1986.  Starting my position at Peard's Borella Road Nursery, Albury where I completed my certificate IV in Horticulture.  During this time I worked my way up to a Managerial position at Peard's gaining invaluable experience in the local area.  After 26 years, I then left to pursue a career in Real Estate and then reverted back to my roots, the Garden Industry.  I focused my passion working locally at a Wholesale Nursery expanding my knowledge and having hands on experience from the ground up. In 2019 I finally decided to start my own business Get Up and Grow Garden Consultant. During my time in the Nursery industry I have been involved in landscaping, home consultations, various demonstrations including rose pruning, garden designing, large scale growing of multiple plant species, plant identification, problem solving, and wide range plant sourcing.

I understand there are a lot of plant options out there and every garden is unique and our lifestyles are busy.  My extensive back ground with plants, our climate and our local area allows me to help clients achieve realistic outcomes and help save you valuable time and money.  My goal is to work with every client to help them enhance their property and provide a service which allows me to better educate people on how best to grow and maintain their garden. My motto is to be "Plant smart and garden wise"
